Tillie left us Wednesday, April 21st to be with Our Heavenly Father. She was an independent, outspoken, hardworking native Houstonian, who had a heart of gold. She was known as an avid gardener, loved to watch novelas, dance and being very active in the community. She worked at Southwestern Bell for 40 years beginning as an operator and later in various positions. While working at SWBell, she was active in the Pioneers, HACEMOS and various other organizations. After retiring she became a member of St. Patrick’s Young at Heart on Cochran. At a certain point in her career, she worked in a Doctor’s office and was considering becoming a nurse but that was not to be. Tillie attended Dow School and studied at the University of Houston-Downtown. She is survived by her son, F. Jeremy Rojas, sisters: Trudy Garcia and Katie Wood, various nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Herminia Rojas, sister Virginia Cabello and brothers: Alphonso, Richard and Raul Espinor. Tillie’s absence leaves a huge void that will be hard to fill. She will be sorely missed. May she Rest in Peace.
