Milan was one of the most caring people you could ever meet. He was a proud father to his daughter, Saveah, whom he loved more than anything in this world, His goal was to always be the best father he could be for her. He grew up around a gang of pets including cats, dogs, a Guinea pig, hamster and snake. He would often take Saveah to the Cat Care Society in Lakewood where they played with cats and kittens together.
Milan had many interests and was a creative genius. He was a talented artist, lyricist, musician, and gamer. He was extremely intelligent and was fascinated by history and science. Once he learned a fact, he never forgot it and shared it with anyone who would listen. In his free time, Milan could be found playing Dungeons and Dragons for hours with his friends and family; he was always the Dungeon Master and has a collection of books he used to create intricate games. Milan enjoyed video and computer gaming from an early age through his last days.
Above all, music was his passion. He listened to music differently than others did, paying special attention to the message behind the lyrics. He could tell you where different styles of hip hop originated, how, and explain how the style developed over the years. He created his first original composition in elementary school, and continued creating amazing music by masterfully mixing beats with original music. Milan was in the process of creating a song (that even his mother liked) and wanted to write inspiring lyrics about his life.
Milan will always be with his daughter, Saveah; his parents, Tamara and Andy; his baby brother, Jovin Tabb; grandmother, Wanda Carlson (GMa); grandfather, Elden Jessen; and grandparents Pat and Lynn Metalo, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends too many to count.
Our beloved Milan was welcomed into heaven by friends and family members who preceded him, and his special furry friends.
Contributions in Milan’s honor can be made to the Cat Care Society or the DU Prison Arts Initiative using the links below.
Go in peace, our precious son.
