Shane Mitchell Lewis died unexpectedly in his hometown of Jacksonville, FL on June 11, 2021. He was 20 years old.
Shane was born in Orange Park, FL on January 2, 2001. He was a chubby baby and immediately earned the name “Tugboat” due to his size. Shane was an excellent baseball player as a child and usually played 1st base and shortstop. He refused to use the tee in tee ball and proved to his coach he didn’t need it. He liked to sing 80s music with his mother and they both shared an interest in muscle cars. As he grew older he developed a fascination for motors and vehicles and had a desire to learn how to build and repair them.
Shane is predeceased by his father, Mitchell Lewis, and his neighbor/buddy, Cliff Hespenheide. He is survived by his mother, Teresa Lewis; his older siblings: Heather and Stephen Baker, Tony and Katelyn Thompson, Wesley Thompson, and Amber Lewis; his niece and four nephews; and his grandparents, Becky(Meemaw) and Dave(Buckethead) Richards, and Steve and Brenda Holland.
