John Elvart quietly passed away on June 28, 2020 and joins his cherished wife Francesca Muller who predeceased John on April 7 of the same year. John’s career was dedicated to the construction industry, beginning with a family-owned multi-generational painting company in Chicago, and most recently supporting renovations and maintenance for a prominent Key West resort. Francesca was a bookkeeper and administrative assistant retired from a respected law firm in Lakewood, NJ. John & Francesca met and married later in life and moved to Key West where they were embraced by the local community. John was a devoted husband to Francesca during her final illness and was lost without her quiet strength, leading to his own decline. Known to their friends and family to celebrate life fully, John & Francesca have requested their cremains be jointly distributed near their treasured Key West, witnessed by those who loved them.
Francesca & John will be lovingly remembered by Francesca’s beloved son, Mickey, Daughter in law, Mary, and grandson, Joel, as well as John’s siblings, Elizabeth, Amelia, James and Peter, their spouses, and myriad nieces and nephews.
Close friends and family will celebrate Francesca & John’s lives this October in Key West, at which time their final wishes will be fulfilled. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in Francesca & John’s names to the Old Island Restoration Foundation, 322 Duval Street, Key West FL 33040, www.OIRF.org
