Jo-Ann was born on May 16, 1970 in Danbury to the late Raymond and Lois (Wildman) Gardner and was raised in Newtown. She worked as a Governance Manager at Stanley Black & Decker for over 12 years, and also was a member of the Elks in Southington. Jo-Ann was a loving mother and absolutely cherished her family. She loved camping with her family, was an avid reader, loved essential oils, and was a Trekkie.
Jo-Ann leaves behind her 3 children, Amanda Smith-Yungk and her spouse Kelsey Yungk-Smith, Olivia Smith, and Alexander Smith and his spouse Caitlyn; her cherished granddaughter Aliana DelValle; her 3 sisters, Sandra Lewis and her spouse Michael, Susan Gardner and her significant other Aaron Thomas, and Tammy Thompson and her spouse William; her mother-in-law Willa Miley and her father-in-law Joe Capuano; many nieces and nephews, as well as her crazy K-9s. In addition to her husband and parents, Jo-Ann was predeceased by her brother John Gardner.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 4-7pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home located at 211 N Main St., Southington. The Elks of Southington will conduct a service at 6pm.
