Glenn Edwin Stover, age 83, of Cool Ridge, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Raleigh General Hospital. Born on January 31, 1938 in Ameagle, WV, he was one of 10 children of the late Wilburn A. Stover and Prinzie G. Stover.
Mr. Stover graduated from Clear Fork High School. Following graduation, he moved to Michigan where he worked on the assembly line for General Motors in Detroit. After retiring in February in 1993 from General Motors, Mr. Stover and his wife, Dixie moved back to West Virginia.
In addition to his parents, Wilburn and Prinzie Stover, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Dixie; his son, Justin Stover; and his siblings, Owen Stover, Doyle Stover, Nora Lee Swain, Juanita Dunbar and Kay Taylor.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Gina Wilson and her husband, Kevin; grandson, Bruce Wilson and his wife, Danyelle; great-granddaughter and great-grandson, Isabelle and Lucas Wilson; granddaughter, Erica Moccia and her husband, Derek; great-grandson and great-granddaughter, Nathan and Natalie Moccia; his sisters, Myrna Taylor, Dixie McDowell, Annis Bedwell and her husband, Dennis, and Lyle Stover and his wife, Charlene
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral home with Pastor Steve Gibson officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Tower Garden of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
In accordance with the current CDC guidelines, the family and the staff of Blue Ridge Funeral Home ask that those who attend the services wear proper facial coverings and practice social distancing at all times.
