His propensity to dream big dreams led him to the top of his class as a young student, to top honors in medical school, and then a residency in California where he met Dawn, the woman of his dreams, and married her in 1968.
After 3 years in Philadelphia, the two moved to the North Suburbs of Chicago where they raised their two children, Jason and Jennifer.
David steadily reached the top of his profession as the Director of Pathology at Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines Illinois, where he served for 28 years.
Everyone who knew him was touched by his calming and uplifting presence.
David always knew how to make someone feel comfortable and respected while his beaming smile could always light up the room.
His fierce loyalty to his entire family serves as a beacon for those he leaves behind, a roadmap with which we will all use to remember what is most important in this life.
So as we celebrate his life and lay him to rest, let us all aspire to dream as David dreamed, and love as David loved.
