Ruby Grace (Robinette) Stiner, 98, a resident of Century Villa in Greentown, passed away at 9:30pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019, and was reunited with departed family and friends. Born in Norton, Virginia at 11am on May 31, 1921, she was the daughter of farmer and coal miner Creed Mack and Mary Virginia (Miller) Robinette. She was baptized in Cumberland, Kentucky at the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Ruby was married to Aubra Lee Stiner on June 1, 1942 in Tipton County, IN. Ruby was a lifelong homemaker and worked at Northwestern School Corporation, retiring in 1983. Ruby and Aubra also owned Stiner’s Vegetable Stand at the corner of US 35 and Davis Road for many years. Growing up, Ruby loved to dance and read mysteries and westerns. She enjoyed traveling, and visiting with her relatives in Indiana, where she met her husband, Aubra. Ruby was a wonderful cook and enjoyed providing meals to many. Ruby is survived by her longtime companion Clarence Larson and his son Steve; daughter Dottie (Timothy) Wagner, Noblesville and son Darrell (Sharon) Stiner, Kokomo; half-sisters Joyce Stoneking, Oklahoma City, OK and Linda Davis, Harrodsburg, KY. Survivors also include grandchildren Carol (Don) Roberts, Kokomo; Nancy Little, Russiaville; Steve (Christy) Stiner and Brent (Luwanna) Stiner, Kokomo; Rich (Angie) Stiner, Colorado Springs, CO; Natasha (Michael) Clemmons, Westfield; Brian (Rebecca) Stiner, Batavia, IL; Rodney Stiner, Kokomo; Michelle (Robert) Slayman, Fishers; daughter-in-law Linda Stiner and step-grandchildren Bonnie Bassett and Connie Dickison, Kokomo, and several nieces and nephews. Ruby has been blessed to have 19 great grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Creed and Mary Robinette, stepmother Cornia (Holcomb) Robinette, her husband Aubra Lee, son Wayne Lee Stiner and grandson-in-law Mike Little. Ruby was also preceded in death by her sister Blanche Lucas, brother Creed Mack Jr Robinette, half-siblings Aileen Sullivan, Melissa Robinette, James Edward Robinette, Robert Mack Robinette, and Janet Evans. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm Friday, November 29, 2019 at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 South Webster St., Kokomo, IN 46902. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00am with Pastor Stan Zurcher officiating from First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Crown Point Cemetery.
