Stanley was truly a jack of all trades. He was formally educated in several fields, including electrical wiring, criminal justice, EMT (paramedic), and obtained a certification in HCV. Over the years, he gained experience in numerous career field titles, including transmission specialist, MSU building maintenance, medical marijuana transport, trailer transport, security guard, and the career title he was most passionate about, Ingham Deputy Sheriff.
Stanley has always had a love for cars, from hotrods to muscle cars to old cars - in particular his 1977 442 - Stanley loved them all and in his younger years, he enjoyed working on them. He also had a love for World War II memorabilia and movies. He absolutely loved occupying the tropical island of Saipan with his beloved wife, Delfina, where the two of them travelled frequently. Spending time with his family was the most important thing to him and he cherished every moment that was spent with them. Above all else, Stanley endlessly loved his family – including his adored dog, Hunter, and his two cats, Oliver and Abbygale.
Stanley is forever remembered and missed by his loving wife, Delfina Igitol-Russell (Iggy); five daughters Shawn (Robert) Hollon, Shelbi (Dean) Haynes, Jessamine (Richard) Igitol, Karen Leverett, and Kim (Jason) Gatson; sixteen grandchildren Robert Jr. (Alexis), Danielle (Jake), Bailey, Gracen (Andy), McKenzy (Payton), Evelyn, CJ Sr. (Kaylynn), Sasha (Jesse), John Paul, Deana, Jessica, Elle, Colter, Tiffany, Brenda, and JR; eight great-grandchildren Cooper, Emilia, Carter, Karina, CJ Jr., Carmen, Caiden, and Risa; and three special people that Stanley and Delfina consider to be three of their own Melvina, Martice and Sang. Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, Donald George Russell and Marjorie Russell, and his brother, Charles Russell.
