History

Founder A.M. “Sandy” Brown established Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre in 1938. He ran the business until his retirement in 1966, when he turned it over to his daughter, Heather, and son-in-law, Paul Kitt.

In 1983, Paul and Heather retired and moved to Sioux Narrows after selling the funeral home. In 2006, Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre became a member of the Dignity Memorial network. Today, we serve an area of 12,000 square miles, providing funeral, burial and cremation services to approximately 25,000 residents.
