Alexander "A.J." Dyer was born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio. He is a 2nd-generation funeral director. His grandfather is an original namesake of Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home And Memorials.
A.J. graduated from William V. Fisher Catholic High School in 2010 and earned his bachelor's degree in mortuary science from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in 2014. While pursuing his education, A.J. served as class president and earned the Bill Pierce Award in recognition of his distinguished representation of the funeral service industry. A.J. has served full-time since the fall of 2014.
A.J. is a member of the Lancaster Rotary Club 375 as well as the Lancaster Tarhe Lions Club. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, playing golf and fishing.
James "Jim" Dyer has been with the Halteman-Fett and Dyer Funeral Home since the 1980s and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since the 70s. Jim and his wife, Birdie, owned, managed and worked at the funeral home for many years. He is now serving as a consultant for the funeral home, working closely with the new manager, Alexander J. "A.J." Dyer.
Within his community, Jim serves in his church, was past president of the Lancaster Lions and is involved with District 13 of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. Jim enjoys gardening, fishing and golfing in his spare time.
