Living a full life for over 100 years, it's difficult to summarize! Born and raised in Oswego, she attended St. John's School, OHS, and RBI. Working at Fitzgibbons Boiler Works during WWII, after marrying H. Willard Pierce, she became his office manager for his Northwestern Mutual Agency for over 20 years. She was active in Oswego's Human Concerns, Hospital Auxiliary, and Children's Board. Fully involved in St. John's and then St. Mary's Church, she also loved Shirts + Skirts square dancing.

Her parents were Earl and Florence Hoefer. She is also pre-deceased by her husband H. Willard, son David, and brother Robert Hoefer. Surviving in NC are her son Robert (Chip) Pierce, Daughter-in-law Baiba Pierce, her granddaughter Marnie (Brent) Jones, Grandson Andrew (Jenn) Pierce. She is also survived by granddaughters Kristen Ball in Colorado and Ashley Pierce in Mexico, and grandson Josh Pierce of Oswego, NY.
