Arnella F. Elgin

Arnella F. Elgin, 91, passed away on March 20, 2015 in Cary, North Carolina. Born on September 5, 1923 in Elmore, Ohio; she was the daughter of the late Warren and Mary Ann Van Alst Fox and wife of the late Joseph Elgin.

Arnella enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her husband Joe. Arnella and Joe enjoyed opening their home to family, friends and neighbors and were gracious hosts for many events. Arnella was devoted to helping others and was a hospital and church volunteer. She loved gardening, bird-watching and traveling. Growing up in the Cleveland Metropolitan area she spent many hours at Cleveland sporting events and especially loved going to Cleveland Indians games. Arnella was a kind and generous person. She will be missed by many but her spirit will live with the many people she touched throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughters: Jodi Dragan and husband Duane, of Raleigh, NC: Debra Page and husband Tim, of Senecaville, Ohio; grandchildren: Brian Page (Michelle), Matthew Page (Erica), Jenna Green (Kyle), and Julianne Dragan; great-grandchildren: Harper Page; great-niece Kathleen West (Ken) and great-nephew Bill Eyring (Donna).

She was preceded in death by her husband and siblings Dorothea Andrews and Thelma Moore:

A Graveside Service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
