Audrey was born in Wilmington, NC on August 24, 1931 to the late George and Edna (Murray) Nichols.
Audrey is preceded in death by her father, George Leo Nichols; her mother, Edna Lee (Murray) Nichols; husband, Pat Kelly: son, Paul Kelly, and daughter; Julia Kelly.
Audrey is survived by her loving son, Doug Kelly and his wife, Lisa; grandsons, Dylan Kelly and Dawson Kelly; sister, Faye Nichols Benton, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Audrey's life will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. Apex, NC 27502. Inurnment will immediately follow at Apex Cemetery, 100 Upchurch St. Apex, NC 27502.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Audrey's honor to North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance.
