Barbara Mary Weeks

Barbara Mary Weeks, 80, of Cary and formally of Concord, NC died Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Barbara was born March 21, 1930 in Albany, NY to Robert and Helen Pierce. She was preceded in death by her husband William Weeks.

Barbara had a positive influence on many people as a substance abuse counselor. She also cherished her personal relationships during her 48 years of sobriety. Her motherly advice and words of encouragement will forever remain in the hearts and minds of everyone that knew her.

Survivors include her son Robert “Bob” Weeks (Mary) of Fort Mill, SC; daughters Stephanie Stoddard (Jim) of Apex, NC and Marcia Allen (Greg) of Harrisburg, NC; and her grandchildren Jennifer Allen, Josh and Carrie Stoddard, and Jade Weeks.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.

A memorial service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St (Hwy 55), Apex, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
