
Barry was born on October 8, 1932 in Seneca Falls, NY to the late, Carl and Eileen Dutcher. After graduating from Waterloo High School, Barry obtained degrees in Mathematics from University of Rochester, a Masters Degree from Brown University and completed post graduate studies at the University of Michigan. In 1963, he moved the family to Marlboro, MA, and started working for Raytheon where he remained until his retirement. During his tenure, he provided mission critical contributions to the Apollo and Gemini space missions, helped to defend our country working with the Patriot and Polaris missles as well as other projects he was not at liberty to discuss. NASA honored his work by flying him to Cape Canaveral to witness a launch.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Dutcher; son Andrew Dutcher, daughter-in-law, April Dutcher, grandchildren, Emma and Barry Mendoza, Hope, Cole and Brady Dutcher, and 5 great Grandchildren, as well as his sister Barbara Dutcher-Campbell, and nephews Donald and Lee Davis.
A private service will be held in Seneca Falls, NY.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society in memory of his beloved mother Eileen Dutcher.
