Bonnie Powell Markham

She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Morrisville and worked for a time, with the church, as the head of the BWMU.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Larry Markham and his wife Judy of Lakeland, FL; daughter, Vickie Smith of Morrisville, NC; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Homer Lee Powell and his wife Barbara and Shawloe Powell and his wife Frances; and many nieces and nephews with their children who were very special to Bonnie.

Bonnie is predeceased by her husband, Omer G. Markham; daughters, Janet Seagroves and Doris Cannady; and son Cecil Markham.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St. Apex, NC with burial to immediately follow in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, 7600 ACC Blvd. Raleigh, NC. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Morrisville, Children’s Program or Building Fund, 209 Church St. Morrisville, NC 27560
