As a mom of three girls, my heart breaks for you.  I am so sorry for your loss.  Please know that there are so many of us mourning with you and praying for you. May God hold you up and bless you with sweet and vibrant memories that never fade.  May he hold you together, heal you and give you peace.

I didn’t have the honor of knowing this precious child but my heart goes out to her family. I lost a son at birth I couldn’t imagine having one for 10 years and this happening. But know she walking them street of gold with or lord and savior. You will be in my thoughts and prayers and your daughter has touch so many lives whether you knew her or not. A true Angel she is God Bless her family and friends.

My heart goes out to you. I taught at West Lake for many years. I did not teach Brooklyn, but I recognize her, and I taught many of her friends. I’m sorry for your loss. I am praying for you and your family.

Y’all have my deepest sympathies.  As a fifth grader, Brooklyn, stopped by my classroom each day just to say ‘hello’.  We would talk for a minute, laugh about something silly, and then she’d be on her way.  Such an incredibly gracious, intelligent, inventive, fun-loving soul.

I didn't know Brooklyn, but I'm a 6th grade teacher who loves working with kids and I frequent Harris Lake to watch sunsets on my paddle board after stressful days. To say my heart is saddened is a gross understatement. It's abundantly clear that countless people have been touched by Brooklyn's radiating positivity and are missing her dearly. I will be thinking of her for decades to come and praying for your family.

Family God will put no more on you than you can bare.Your loss is Heavens Gain.Try and be as strong as you can be during this sad time.

Brooklyn was and is a very nice girl, she loved all animals especially the ones at farm camp. I will never forget when it was me, her and evelyn all laughing together. Brooklyn was one of the kindest and most empathetic people I have ever met and I am so grateful that she was part of my life even if it didnt last forever. May she rest in peace surrounded by loved ones.

Brooklyn was the sweetest girl. She would come down in the mornings and give me a hug. I will miss those. I wasn't her teacher, but we had a sweet connection. I will always think of her with a smile on my face. Rest easy sweet girl....We love you! The Byrd Family

I never knew Brooklyn or her family,  but I am heartbroken over her senseless and tragic loss. Know that she is now in the loving arms of God for all eternity, and that one day she will be united with her family forever.
God works in mysterious ways that humans will never be able to understand.

Wyatt and our family would like to offer our deepest condolences. We did not know Brooklyn, but Wyatt did, and our hearts go out to your entire family. There really are no words, except to say we are so truly sorry.

I just read about Brooklyn’s story in the news. I am so sorry for what you all are going through. She sounds like she was amazing and fun to be around. The photos you all shared are beautiful and it looks like she was blessed with a great family. I’ll be praying for you all and thinking of you all.

My deepest sympathies to Brooklyn's family and friends. I can't begin to imagine what you all are going through and I am so sorry. I know my own heart has been so heavy since learning of this tragic loss. I had the privilege to teach sweet Brooklyn in 1st grade and will never forget her bright, infectious smile that lit up any room she walked into! There is definitely a missing piece at WLES now but we will keep her cherished memory with us every single day. Prayers to the family for peace, strength and healing.

I am  so shocked and heartbroken to hear of Brookyn's senseless death. I had the pleasure of having her in my two year old class at St Francis. She was the sweetest soul then, and I'm sure continued to be throughout her young life.  I know she will be missed by so many.  My love and prayers are with Kim, Ava and all of her family during this unbearable time. ❤️

To everyone who loved 'B', our dear precious Brooklyn... Let the trouble in your heart fuel new Love for life. Meet strangers in a new way and greet them. Discard old worries and concerns, and grow new pastures of love. Forgive old debts, and enjoy the rewarding gains: of future and hope love charity and forgiveness. Most of all and most precious: convert your tears to a innocent young smile of a little girl who never knew anything but a smile, because she will forever more smile down on you, While we cannot bring 'B'  back to life, it is our moral mission & responsibility to  keep her warm and embraced in our chest next to our heart, let's carry out Brooklyn's mission... I do not know this young girl, I am from Lake Gaston, and the news has reached far and wide out here. I share my sorrow for this loss as a stranger. I hope that everybody can heal, god has a plan for healing for the victims in this terrible tragedy. May god bless Brooklyn and may god bless the family and friends of Brooklyn.

I saw the story when I was watching my favorite movie and the movie will never be the same. I am around her age and just got through my first few weeks of middle school, what a horrible thing to happen I am so sorry for the people in her life. I am just praying hard for her family. I don't know her but I feel so sorry I can't even describe how my heart dropped reading the story.

I was introduced to Brooklyn through friends.  I feel fortunate enough to have witnessed the giggles, friendship, and love for animals that Brooklyn shared with her friends.  She was truly a shining light, curious and kind.  I am so sorry for your loss.

sweet sweet brooklyn, to know her was to love her. I feel absolutely blessed that I got the chance to know brooklyn through Ainsley. She was the sweetest human with the brightest smile. There are no words that could explain  how devastated i am but heaven has gained the most beautiful girl.

I didn’t know Brooklyn, but I was a first grade teacher at her school when she was in first grade. I recognize her face from the hallways. I am heartbroken for your loss.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Tt Hannah loves you so much honey. You were such a bright girl. I remember when we always did skin care, you loved doing your skin care and showing us your gymnastics skills. Me & Teddy took you trick or treating one Halloween & you always came upstairs to ask Teddy if you can come see the animals. You loved seeing the birds, the fish, Loki the Maine Coon especially you loved your Loki. You always pet Bella the Bearded dragon all the time, you loved all of them. You were always making jokes & your laugh always made us laugh even when we didn’t know why you were laughing lol. I terribly miss you so much little one. Words can’t describe how I am feeling right now. I love you ❤️.
