Charles Russell Willingham

Charles was born in Charleston, SC, on August 1, 1957, to the late Bernard and Doris Meeks Willingham. He was a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University and was employed as an IT Tech Support Specialist with Hewlitt Packard. He was a member of the PDGA and enjoyed competing in disc golf tournaments with friends. Charles was a storyteller, book collector, pun lover, husband to his hummingbird and proud father of precocious children.

Charles is survived by his wife of 15 years, Rachal Willingham; daughters, Lauren Willingham, Savannah Willingham, Kari Kite and Candice Hoagland; son, Brandon Brown; and four grandchildren, Andariel Scherzer, Shelby Hoagland, Isaiah Brown and Isabelle Brown.

A celebration of life will be held 3pm Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams Street, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
