Diane Falwell Childress

She was born to the late Ariel “Earl” Falwell and Nancy Kelly Falwell on February 20, 1947 in Lynchburg, Virginia. Diane graduated from Brookville High School in 1966.

Diane was married to William “Bill” Childress in 1976, and they lived together in Lynchburg for nearly forty years before relocating to Cary, North Carolina. Diane is survived by her husband William, daughter, Kelly Williams Eller and husband Trae, son, David Childress and wife, Lindsay, and four grandchildren: Jacob, Addyson, Rachael, and Walter.

Diane was a nurturing caregiver to generations of children as a childcare provider for over fifty years. In this role, she was a beloved pillar of the community. She passed her sense of humor, positive outlook, and wisdom to all of her children. Diane’s greatest love was her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful, joyous memories and a legacy of love.
