Donald "Don" Wayne Harrington

Don was born on June 27, 1940, in Wake County, NC to the late William Hill Harrington and Willa Belle Parker Harrington. He graduated from Campbell University. He was known as an honest, good Christian man. Don loved his wife of 65 years and entire family and friends. He enjoyed duck and turkey hunting as well as carving ducks. Some of his favorite interests included golf, planes and history, especially WWII.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, whom he shared 68 years with, Joan Harrington; son, Brooke Harrington and wife, Susan; daughter, Jill Harrington and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Jodi Myrick (David), Kyle Gerardi (Meredith), Josh Harrington (Kayla), Kristi Moon (Justin), Kody Sauls (Daecia); great-grandchildren, Alice Grace, Mack, Madi, Fletcher, Kohen, Riley, Avery, Mason, Kyler; brother, Bruce Harrington (Barbara); sister, Susan Poe (Marion); nieces and nephews, Brian Harrington (Cindi), Kelli Jones (Kelly), Kolt Kooper (Sidney) and Mandy Parrish (Scott); cousins, Lindsey (Josh), Carley, Lily, Ally, Julian, Sloane, Lauren (Johnathan) and Jace; and many great friends like family.

A Memorial Service will be on February 28th at 12 noon at Buckhorn Methodist Church 2438 NC 42, New Hill, NC 27559.

We will have lunch catered in at the community house following the service. That is right next door to the church.
