Edwin Roy Martin

Edwin was born in Cleveland, OH to the late Alexander Martin and Ellen Robertson Martin. He was a graduate of Avon Lake High School and attended Fenn College in Cleveland, OH. Edwin was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and was employed with New York Life Insurance Company retiring with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Lake Shore United Methodist Church in Avon Lake, OH and Apex United Methodist Church in Apex, NC.

Edwin was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Martin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Phene Doughty Martin; daughters, Holly Holzworth and husband, Daniel and Julia Martin Spillman; son, Gregory Martin and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Christopher, Katie and Matthew Holzworth; and great grandchildren, Joshua, Brenda, Jaxson and John Robert.

A Funeral Service will be held 2pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Apex United Methodist Church, 100 S. Hughes Street, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00pm prior to the service at the church.
