Georgette Gabriel

She is survived by her daughters, Lesley Kelly and Lynn Pascale and husband, Jim. She is loving Grandma Georgi/Gigi to her grandchildren: Tracey Dowling, Jennifer Melick and husband, Scott, Kelly Rogers and husband, Todd, Stephen Gabriele and wife, Analissa, Matthew Pascale and wife, Lillian, Daniel Pascale and wife, Stephanie, and Elisabeth Eastman and husband, James, and great grandchildren: Derek Carr, Justin Melick, Ben and Jillian Rogers, Jordan and Penelope Gabriele, JW and Nate Pascale, Abigail, Jonah and Evie Eastman, and Anna Grace Eastman, the Angel she met in Heaven. She is also survived by her sister, Vini Sozzani and brother, Pat De Gaetano of San Diego, CA, and their children and great grandchildren.

Georgette graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx where she was known by her classmates as “Gorgeous Georgi”. She excelled in all her business courses and later became the Office Manager at The Steak Pit restaurant in Paramus, NJ and Casey’s Restaurant in Clifton, NJ.

Georgette was a member of Calvary Church in Wayne, NJ before moving to Greensboro, NC upon retiring. She became an active member of Cathedral of His Glory in Greensboro where she closely ministered with Pastor Lona Burns, sending encouraging notes and cards to members of the congregation, as well as being active in the Senior Ministry with Pastor Bob and Debbie Hartman. Upon moving to Morganton, NC, she continued that ministry at Celebration Family Worship Center with Pastors Vangie and Rocky McLendon.

Georgette was an avid bowler, loved playing Scrabble and cards. Enjoyed watching game shows and tennis tournaments on TV.

Georgette spent the years after retiring with her daughter Lynn in Greensboro and Morganton. Her last years were spent in Apex with her daughter, Lesley.
