Helen Brown Penny Penny Bullock

Helen was born August 28, 1924 to Larry B. Penny and Mary Brown Penny and was a proud life-long continuous resident of Apex. After graduation from Apex High School, she became employed as bank teller for over 40 years of distinguished service to Central Carolina Bank customers. Helen was a faithful member of Apex Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton N. Bullock, granddaughter Melissa Lynn Herndon, and 4 loving, wonderful sisters.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Christa Herndon and husband, Wayne of Apex; granddaughter, Lisa Mann and husband, Tim of Holly Springs; great-grandchildren, Danielle Mann and Cameron Mann of Holly Springs; great-great-grandpuppy, Shelby; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held 7pm Monday, September 12, 2016 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Howard officiating. The family will receive friends 5-7pm prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside burial service will be held 11am Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Apex Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Eastern North Carolina Chapter or to National Parkinson Foundation.
