Ivan Sanfilippo

His battle with Myositis disease in recent years showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile.

Despite the pain, Ivan was a superhero and stayed strong until the end.

Ivan completed his bachelor’s degree at Baylor University and started working at Cisco System in 1997. Ivan’s pride was to be a part of the Cisco family for 26 years as Distribution Account Manager. In 2010, Ivan completed his master’s degree in business at St. Joseph’s University in Pennsylvania.

Ivan was a fun spirited soul who loved playing golf and had a great love for cars, baseball and football. Ivan was a beautiful person inside and out. He was so kind to people no matter who they were. He cared deeply for the people around him, especially his family. Ivan’s love for his two daughters, Monica and Crista, and his son, Benjamin, was unconditional.

Ivan met his wife Klara in 2005. Ivan and Klara married in 2008 in Hawaii. Ivan, Klara and Benjamin for the past 8 years have resided in Holly Springs, NC.

Even though Ivan’s disease prevented him from many physical activities, he was always present to his son Benjamin throughout his daily activities and sports.

Ivan had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal and brave. He will be remembered for all the love he shared with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Klara; children, Monica, Crista and Benjamin; Mother Vivian Sanfilippo; brothers Angelo, Richard and Theodor.

Ivan’s Celebration of Life will be held at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St., Apex, NC 27502
