

He was born April 27, 1934, in Pickens, SC. the son of the late Jerry M. and Lilla Mae Tidwell Hannah. He was educated in Durham City Schools. Mr. Hannah retired from the Engine Room at NCDOT. He always enjoyed mechanic work and fixing things, along with woodworking, art work and clay moldings. He especially enjoyed working on his cottage at Oak Island.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Norma Jean Rigsbee Hannah; daughter, Diane Fish and husband Michael of Apex, NC; and his beloved grandson, Kaden Fish. He is also survived by his sisters, Geraldine Hudson, Durham, NC and Margaret Tilley, Oxford, NC and nephews Michael Cowart and Donald Cowart and nieces Carla Hancock and the late Martha Brockwell. There are also great-nieces and nephews along with special in-laws and their children that he thought a lot of. He was a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 p.m. on Friday with a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. at Apex Funeral Home in Apex, NC.
