Janice Ann Busse

Janice Ann Busse, 84, passed away on September 9, 2015 at Pruitt Healthcare. Born on September 6, 1931 in Ozone Park, New York; she was the daughter of Fredrick William Fecher and Grace Ruehle Fecher. Janice graduated from John Adams High School and went onto to graduate from Brooklyn College. She met and married LeRoy P. Busse on June 16, 1962, and together they raised their two children, John and Susan.

Janice worked for American Express in New York City as a supervisor in the credit card department. She also worked as a bookkeeper for The Creek Country Club in Locust Valley, NY. Janice was also an active member of Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, Mineola, NY and was also president of the East Williston, NY Homemakers Council.

Together, Janice and Lee relocated to the Cary area in 2008 to be closer to family. They later resided at Preston Pointe. She was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church.

Janice is remembered by her husband of 53 years: LeRoy P. Busse; son: John Busse and wife Catherine, of Atlanta, GA; daughter: Susan Otero, of Apex; grandchildren: Matthew Wills and Carter Busse; Christopher and Kathleen Otero; brother: Fred Fecher, of Ocean Grove, NJ and by other family and friends, including a very special friend: Dellie Hinton of Cary, NC.

A Memorial Service celebrating Janice’s life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2 pm at Preston Pointe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jordan Lutheran Church.
