

Janice Kay Garrison Pauk, 77 passed away on March 15, 2024 in Raleigh, North Carolina, after a long illness. She was born in Joplin, Missouri on December 2, 1946, to the late Ralph Garrison and Geneva Hamby Garrison. She attended Carl Junction High School and graduated in 1964.
Janice was married to Steven Pauk in 1967 and were marred for 51 years, Steve was the love of her life. Janice was a daughter, granddaughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. Her family was her life.
She also had a passion for history and was a former member of the Marjory Morton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Petersham, Massachusetts and the Asbury-Station Chapter located in Cary, North Carolina. She loved being the family historian, and spent many years researching her family’s genealogy.
Janice also loved to travel, and she and Steve traveled throughout Europe, Mexico. and explored many locations throughout the United States. She lived in Missouri, Texas, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, Florida, Massachusetts, and North Carolina.
Janice is survived by her sons Jeffrey Pauk and his partner Carolyn Ewing, Rick Abshure and his wife Krista, grandchildren Hudson, Camdyn, Christian, Ethan, great grandson Jameson, sister-in-law Karen Garrison, nephews Brandon and Alex Garrison, and great niece Elliott.
She is preceded in death by husband Steven, brother Dennis Garrison, and her beloved cat Emma Louise.
