Janice Kibler White

She died peacefully on January 25, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Jan married Noel Edward White on August 11, 1994. They shared 29 years of marriage and Noel was by her side through multiple health ups and downs.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Helen Kibler and her sister Irma. She is survived by her husband Noel, brothers Robert (wife Carol) David (wife Debbie) and a sister Sister Dorothy Kibler, IHM Scranton, PA. Also, three nieces, three nephews, their spouses and children survive. She will be dearly missed by a myriad of friends in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

Jan obtained a BA in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a M.Ed from the University of Virginia in Speech Language Pathology. After completing college, Janice began her career as a speech and language pathologist at Pee Dee Speech and Hearing Clinic, Myrtle Beach SC, and at Charlotte Rehabilitation Hospital, Charlotte NC where she first worked with people with traumatic brain injuries. The rest of her professional life involved working with this population in various positions including: NeuroRehab Program Director, HealthSouth, Traumatic Brain Injury Program Manager, State of NC, Director of Business Development and Marketing and Director of Project Development, NeuroCommunity Care, Injury Prevention Consultant, NC Division of Public Health. Also, she was a board member and past president of the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators.

Jan was an indomitable warrior for people who could not advocate for themselves. She fought valiantly for services that provided case management, home care, community supports and long-term living programs for people with brain injuries. She touched innumerable lives and provided inspiration to all who worked with her. She was respected and admired for her professionalism, her dedication and her generosity.
