John Arthur Sherland

John was born August 21, 1955 in Plymouth, IN. He attended Saint Michael Catholic School in Plymouth, IN and was a 1974 graduate of Laville High School in Lakeville, IN and Columbus Technical Institute in Columbus, OH. John was married to the love of his life, Mary Christine Sherland on October 24, 1981. He was employed as Senior Project Manager with Integrated Technical Services. John was a member of Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and fourth degree Knights of Columbus member of Council #7186. He enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Corvettes and boating. John was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Sherland; and sister, Jeanne A. Sheehan.

John is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Christine Sherland; mother, Therese Sherland Greer; sons, Adam Sherland and wife, Ricki and Andrew Sherland and wife, Celine; sister, Jayne Sherland-Roahrig and husband, Brian; and granddaughter, Matilde Sherland.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30am Monday, June 27, 2016 at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3008 Old Raleigh Road, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends 4-6pm Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502.
