Jonathan was born August 7, 1984 in Indianola, Mississippi. He was proud graduate of Apex High School. He had a lifelong passion for culinary arts and was the founder and owner of Redeye BBQ. Jonathan lived life to the fullest, loved music and was an avid fisherman. He cherished his family, friends and cared about others more than himself.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda June Berner.
Jonathan is survived by his father, Richard Carl Berner and his wife, Loretta; sister, Alison Rose Berner and her husband, Joseph Easterling.
A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
