Joseph Arthur Morawski died on September 4, 2017, at his home in Chatham County with his daughter by his side. Born on January 8, 1952 in Concord, New Hampshire, he grew up in Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Joe graduated from Broughton High School and NC State University. He worked as a farrier for several years and then as an engineering technician at Froeling & Robertson, retiring in 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Andea Dawn Mew; grandsons, Max and Jack Mew; and his sister, Judy M. Johnson, all of Raleigh.
