Larry J. Woods

Larry was born in Oklahoma and grew up in Nebraska. He graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Nebraska, and he was a lifetime Nebraska football fan. Joined the Navy as a submariner, served as an officer and retired as a lieutenant commander after 20 years in the United States Navy. After retiring from the Navy, Larry and his family came to Apex, NC where he became a fan of NCSU football. He coached CASL youth soccer. Larry worked for CP&L-Progress-Duke Energy and later retired after 30+ years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walt and Mogene; and by his younger brother Roger. Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara; and his four children and five grandchildren.

He will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
