Marita Rinaldi Bashor

Born on October 21, 1942, in Saugerties, New York, to Ben and Rita Rinaldi, Marti grew up in the Hudson Valley before earning her degree from The College of New Rochelle in 1965. Following graduation, she spent her life caring for others: initially as a social worker, later bringing smiles to students' faces in school nutrition services, and finally, embracing the cherished role of caregiver for her first grandchild.

A devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene, Marti will be remembered as an avid reader with a deep love for dogs and a passion for exploring the islands of the Caribbean on cruise ships - her favorite way to travel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Rita Rinaldi. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, Paul; her children, Kiersten (Kevin) and Michael (Amy); and her beloved grandchildren, Abigail, Jack, and Ella.

Service Information : Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church (625 Magdala Pl, Apex, NC 27502) on January 30th at 1:00 PM.
