Mark was born in Wake County, NC to the late John Franklin Drake and Marie Goodwin Drake. He was a graduate of Apex High School and worked as an auto mechanic and service manager. Mark loved his children and granddaughter. He enjoyed drag racing.
Mark was a kind, humble man who loved his family and friends. He is most remembered for kindness, his deep appreciation for the blessings in life, and the quiet way he always went about helping and putting others first.
He is survived by his son, Joshua Reed Drake; daughter, Michelle Nicole Drake; brother, Ronnie Franklin Drake; granddaughter, Madison Lynn Drake.
The family will receive friends 4-6pm Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502.
