The sight of his face and his voice brought me unparalleled joy as a child, and to this day he provided to me a feeling that I haven’t felt since my father, his brother, passed; the feeling of family. I may never feel this feeling again. He was always elated to see me at family gatherings, and I’ll never forget those interactions.

I send deepest condolences to Joanne and all of Mike's family.  He was a man in love with his country and a servant of its citizens.  Mike enjoyed being part of the community up until the very end, and never complained about his discomforts and health challenges.  He was a wonderful role model for all of us.

Sending my most sincere condolences to you Joanne and all of the family. I never had the chance to meet Mike but Richie has told me about some  conversations and debates they had through the years during your visits to Virginia. He sounded like a fine man! My heart (and warm hugs) are with you during this sad time. ~Jill xo

My Dad is so much of my heart. I couldn't have loved him more.
I know I am blessed and lucky to have such a wonderful relationship with him and that
He will live on through me in my heart and in the person and  parent I aspire to be.
I will always hear his kind sweet voice in my head and I will continue to do my best to make him proud.

Mike would always help at the American Legion in Greenville, NY. You would see him at the chicken BBQ's turning the chicken over the hot coals. And always laughing and talking to everyone with a kind heart.  Sorry for the families loss of a very gentle and kind man.

Mike, you have been my family for a long time, nothing will be the same without you.
