Pam was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother to three daughters and eleven grandchildren. She was brought into this world on August 16, 1945, to Mr. John and Amy Finch of Evanston, IL. After graduating from Glenbrook North High School in 1963, Pam attended Northern Illinois University. She then began a career as a flight attendant with United Airlines, where she loved her co-workers and made many lifelong friendships. Later in life, Pam worked and retired from Northwest Community Hospital, where she also developed cherished relationships with her close colleagues.
Pam poured herself into her daughters’ sports and school activities, always volunteering to be Room Mom, PTA committee chair, and to lead various charitable organizations that benefitted children. Pam loved playing bridge, and no matter where she lived, easily made friends through local bridge clubs. She especially loved her extended family, and the annual holiday gatherings they enjoyed together. She loved the companionship of her loyal Shih-Tzu dogs Toby and Callaway. Pam enjoyed nothing more than an evening with family and friends, especially when spent at a Mexican restaurant followed by a movie. She was a friend to all and will missed by those who knew her.
Pam leaves behind her daughters, Ashley Shepardson (John), Megan Claire (Sean), and Ally O’Donnell (Shawn); grandchildren, Teddy, Charlie and Zach Shepardson, Millie, Will, Leo and Vance Claire, and Sadie, Patrick, Molly and Kally O’Donnell.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, John “Jack” and Steve Finch; and a loving cousin, Carol Hinchliff.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Chicagoland area in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Enduring Hearts in her name.
