Rob met the love of his life, Marianne, while attending Asheville Catholic high school. They married at 19 years old and were blessed with 51 amazing years of marriage. He served in the United States Air Force for 6 ½ years. After leaving the Air Force, he went on to attend NC State University and received a degree in computer science and statistics. He worked at SAS for over 30 years as a computer programmer before retiring.
Rob found joy in the simple things. He loved the outdoors, spending many vacations in the mountains camping and hiking. You could always find him listening to music especially bluegrass and he loved playing the guitar. He was full of life, had the best sense of humor, and never met a stranger. He cared deeply for his family cherishing time spent together, creating memories. He valued his friendships and made a point to keep in touch often. Known for his laughter and generous spirit, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
