Rosy Mathai, a beloved and faithful member of the Apex, North Carolina community, passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on February 16, 1935, in Kerala, India, Rosy grew up in Bangalore, India.
Rosy dedicated her life to being a homemaker, a role in which she excelled with grace and dedication. Her talents extended beyond the home as she actively engaged in sewing, gardening, and cooking, passions that brought joy to her and those around her.
She is preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her loving children, Bridgit, Elizabeth, Maria, and Antony.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Drs. Ranjith Joseph, China Goli, Courtney Buii, and their care teams at UNC Rex, Transitions Life Care, and clergy for the care and compassion they showed Rosy in her final days.
A funeral service will be held on January 28, 2026, at11:00 am at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 625 Magdala Pl, Apex, NC 27502, United States.
