Roy Martin Cooke

Roy was born January 21, 1920 in Wake County, NC to the late William Gaston Cooke and Lovie Lassiter Cooke. He was a graduate of Apex High School and WWII veteran of the US Army. Roy was a bookkeeper by trade. He was a member of Apex Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Cooke; sister, Frances Mills and grandson Patrick Cooke.

Roy is survived by his brother, Nolan Cooke (Evelyn), son, Phil Cooke (Angela), granddaughter, Lee Integlia (Tony), great grandchildren, Ella, Jaxson, and Carson, nephew, Lynn Cooke (Linda), nieces, Faye Moore (Ronnie) and Beth Sears (Bruce), and former daughter-in-law, Pat Johnson.

A graveside service will be held 2pm Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Apex Cemetery, 100 Upchurch Street, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Apex Baptist Church building fund: 110 S. Salem St, Apex, NC 27502.
