Stephen Henry Hooks

Stephen was born August 3, 1960 in Lakeland, FL. He was a proud 1979 graduate of Apex High School and former partner of O.T.'s BBQ and Seafood Restaurant. Stephen was an avid NC State sports fan. He was a cancer survivor who maintained an uplifting spirit and always kept a positive attitude no matter the situation. Stephen was a loving father to his daughter, Ally. He had a heart for the children and youth of his church. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Morrisville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Otis T. Hooks.

Stephen is survived by his mother, Mildred R. Hooks; wife, Virginia Nesbitt Hooks; daughter, Ally Hooks; brother, Stacy O. Hooks; nephews, Nathan B. Hooks and Jesse J. Hooks; two step children; and two step-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, March 27, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Morrisville, 209 Church Street, Morrisville, NC 27560. Burial will follow the service at Apex Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Apex Funeral Home.
