Warren was born and raised in rural Rockingham County, NC. From an early age, he found great pleasure in being outdoors while hunting and fishing. Warren graduated from Reidsville High School and attended an Industrial Arts School. His passion for building and woodworking became evident working alongside his dad. He started in cabinetry at the young age of 14. By his 18th birthday, Warren was the owner of his own cabinet shop. In his early 20's he was designing and building houses on his own. A few years later, Warren discovered his second passion of growing and selling Frasier Fir Christmas Trees. Warren opened one of the first Christmas tree lots in Cary, NC in 1973. It continued in operation until 2014. Even after concluding retail sales, Warren was an active tree grower and seller. This remained true until the time of his death.
Although Warren had a strong work ethic, he had and even stronger love for Jesus and his family. Warren found the Lord in 1966 and over the years served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent and Head of Buildings and Grounds. His love for family was rooted in his upbringing where it was instilled in him to take care, love and provide for those you love most.
Warren is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jo Ann. His daughter, Amanda (Wall) Castaneda and her husband, Adam. Warren was the proud grandaddy of his 14 year-old grandson, Nathan. He is also survived by his older sister, Wanda Wall Simmons. He is preceded in death by his son, Warren A. Wall Jr. (Andy) and his parents Arthur V. and Margaret B. Wall.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday, October 26th at 11:30 am at Good Hope Baptist Church in Cary, NC. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm with a graveside service to follow.
