Bonnie went to be in heaven on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 after a long battle with heart disease. She was born in Chicago where she eventually met her husband Earl. They were married for 58 years. Bonnie came to Apple Valley in 1953 with her husband Earl. They started one of the first cable companies in California, along with a television sales & service and Apple Valley Communications, which is still owned and operated by their son today. They were both known as very successful cable pioneers.
Bonnie and Earl retired young and were able to travel the world. Their very favorite thing to do was to travel in their RV across the country.
She is survived by her 3 children, Sons Dave and Larry Cusack and Daughter Patty Benitez, her Sister & Brother in law Carol & Gary Swearingen. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Bonnie also was a proud mama of 5 dogs which she cherished.
A viewing will be held Monday, May 2 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with services on Tuesday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m., both at Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary.
