"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith." —
2 Timothy 4:7
With our hearts anchored in Christ yet grieving deeply, we announce the passing of Brian Dion Herndon, II, who entered eternal rest on February 14, 2026. Brian’s life was marked by love, strength, and a sincere faith in God. Above all, he loved Jesus and believed in the promise declared in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life." God knew Brian’s life from the very beginning. The Word reminds us in Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you."
Brian Dion Herndon, II was born December 13, 1981 at Los Altos Hospital in Long Beach, California. He was the eldest son of four children born to Dianna Marie Marshall and Brian Dion Herndon.
Brian was blessed with two children of his own; a son, Gavin and a daughter, Jade Isabella. He was an especially devoted father, found peace in fishing, reflection in driving the open road, and purpose in his relationship with Christ.
He leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life; his loving parents, Dianna Marie Marshall, Brian Dion Herndon, his Bonus Mom Christina Yolanda Herndon; two beloved children, Gavin Herndon and Jade Isabella Herndon; eight siblings, Nickiesha Robin Vassell, Yvonne Nicole Kaupiko, Lauren Sharleen Brandy Herndon, Lonnie Charles Horace Herndon, Roman Andrew Herndon, Gabriel Brian Herndon, Dion Brian Herndon and Christopher James Herndon; seven cherished nieces and nephews, Princess Anyssa Mars, Lyanna Jordan Richardson, Byron Rutherford, Kenneth Luke Vassell, Zane Gabriel Herndon, Jadiel Roman Herndon and Xavier Brian Herndon; two grandmothers, Lonnie Lee Marshall and Rose V. Jara-Cuellar; and a grandfather, Abiu J. Rodriguez; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Revelations 21:4 reminds us: "And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."
Psalms 34:18 promises us: "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Brian’s earthly race has been completed, but his eternal life has just begun. Well done, good and faithful servant.
