

Douglas Earl Johnston passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025 at the age of 79. Born on January 11, 1946, he was known for his sense of humor and practical jokes, his love of driving and road trips, his helping neighbors with projects and he enjoyed all the neighborhood kids visiting our home. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Gay, five children, Doug Jr. Kari, Daniel, John, and Garrett, two grandchildren he raised, Michelle and Michael, other grandchildren Jennifer, Allyson, Joey, Sydney, Austin, Ashton, Aiden, and step grands Taylor, and Dimitri, great grands Alan, Evan, Anne, and Mathew. His brother Bob, sister Sandi and brother-in-law Lee.
Douglas's life was characterized by his dedication to family having been a hands-on Father from the age of 19 to his death at 79. His hard work, working OT and still coming home to do yard work, wash cars, repair cars and any household fixes that were needed. He will be remembered for his artistic talent, his acquired cooking skills, his woodworking and building skills.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force at a young age. He then went on to work various jobs to support his family prior to working in Aerospace for Lockheed Martin, beginning in the Tool Crib working his way into Mock up and Tool Development, then Supervision on TOP Secret Projects.
