At the age of 83, Frances passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 in Riverside, California. Frances was a long-time resident of Apple Valley, California, but considered home to be Middlebury, Indiana. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Roger in 2001, her brother Douglas Morse, father Benjamin Morse Sr., and mother Evelyn Morse.
Roger and Frances moved many times throughout their marriage but seemed to always find themselves drawn back to northern Indiana. After moving to California in 1999 to be closer to their children and grandchildren, they considered themselves proud California Hoosiers.
Frances was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan. During her childhood, Frances thrived in music by playing the accordion and occasionally singing. She even performed live on a local radio station. Growing up in Michigan, she graduated from Cassopolis High School in 1960. She spent her working life as a factory worker and as a homemaker. After retiring, Frances often joked that her new employer was her television. She loved reality television and comedies. Her day was not complete without savoring her most treasured vice: Pepsi.
She is survived by her brother Benjamin (Frank) Morse Jr., daughters Mrs. Karen (Keith) Miller and Mrs. Sharon Smith, and grandchildren Karissa Miller, Kasey Iaeger, Kyler Iaeger, and Joel Iaeger.
Her service will be on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 10:00am at Sunset Hills Mortuary Park, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Roger.
