Born in San Antonio, TX, he was the son of Jack W. Murdock Jr. & Marie A. Endrizzi Murdock. He was a Jockey at the age of 10 racing horses until he left Texas for California at the age of 19. He worked for Harris Transportation as a driver from 1967 to 1996. Harris was then bought out by Apex where he continued his employment until his retirement in 2006.
He was a respected hard working, self sacrificing family man, always putting his wife and children first. He was a role model and Patriarch to his brothers & sisters, always the first one to extend a helping hand while offering sound advise with genuine concern. When God made Jack, he broke the mold. We as his family were very blessed to be loved by him, he taught us loyalty, respect, honor, responsibility, character and dignity, a great role model of what a man should be.
He is survived by his wife Darlene L. Murdock, his four children Jack, Diane, Don & Nilene and his 17 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild with two more on the way as well as his five sisters Rose, Helen, Edie, Mary and Joanie. He was predeceased by his parents and his five brothers Bob, George, Eddie, John, Rex and Great Grandson Eric.
The Memorial service will be held on May 9, 2015 at noon at Redeemer Church 22434 Nisqually Rd., Apple Valley, CA. 92308
