Joel Montecino Gomez

Joel Montecino Gomez passed away peacefully on February 11th, 2026, at the age of 63.

Born on September 29th, 1962, he was known for his resilience and strength through moments of adversity. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lidia, along with his children, Laura, Alex, Adilene, and Fernando, and his grandchildren. Joel's life was characterized by the strong relationships he formed with those around him, family, friends, his church, among many others. Joel was resilient man who lived life fully and in his own way. Making memories along the way that each individual will treasure for the time to come. Besides spending time with family and friends.

Joel enjoyed traveling with his wife. Going to new places and trying different foods. He could not pass up a good carne asada plate anywhere he went. He loved the outdoors and couldn’t wait to plan his next outing.

His personality was strong as he often shared his tough upbringing, joining the military at a young age. He did his best with what he had and learned along the way. It is his families hope that he can be remembered by the love he had to offer and his desire to live a fulfilling life. He will forever be missed.

Family and friends are invited to join the service which will be held at Sunset Hills Mortuary & Memorial Park on March 4th, 2026 starting at 10:30am.
