Kathryn Jean Mooney

On Saturday, August 20th, Kathryn Jean Mooney, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord. Kathy was 64 years old. Born to Betty Jean Wise (Davis) and Calvin Vincent Wise, March 13th 1958.

Kathy joined the Army after High School. After the Army, Kathy enjoyed civilian life, becoming a mother and pharmacy technician. In 1995 she met Darrin Mooney and they shared over 26 years together. She supported her share of causes and walked for Juvenile Diabetes foundation. Kathy loved the Lord, music, butterflies, cooking a meal to share, anything with a little (or a lot) of bling, giving gifts, dancing with the stars, and spending time with her fur babies, Kallie and Betty.

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She is survived by her husband, Darrin Mooney, bonus mother Carol Wise, bonus father Don Welker, sister Debbie Micke and brother in law Glen, sister Deidre Heinz and brother in law Gregg, son Jason Fluet and significant other Brittany Conklin, granddaughter Katy Fluet, grandsons Joey and Ricky, granddaughters Mia and Lilly, bonus daughter Adrienne and Benjamin Hulley and grandaughters Kaydence, Kimberlyn and Kambria Hulley, former husband Jay Fluet, former daughter in law Amanda Dinkle. Kathy is also survived by many extended family in the Mooney, Davis, Wise and Spencer families. Kathy loved all of her extended family and friends and enjoyed keeping in touch on social media.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Betty Jean Davis, and father, Calvin Vincent Wise. Services will be held on Thursday, September 1st @ 2:00 pm, at Sunset Hills Memorial Park on Waalew Rd. in Apple Valley Ca. Reception and dinner to follow at The Rock Church (17508 Hercules St. Suite A1). In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made in Kathy’s honor to the Heart for the Harvest fund. Kathy had a heart for the community and was always trying to find ways to help however she could. She was excited about a community event being put together for our local youth. All funds donated in her honor will go to help fund that event.
