Lon Edward Jacobs

Lon was born on March 18, 1959 to Walter and Roberta (Kaplan) in Los Angeles.

After graduation from Placentia High School in 1976, he attended Golden West College.

After graduation he was hired by Adelanto P.D. In 1986 he lateraled to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and began his 26 year career.

In 1988 Lon met Susan (Ortega) and they married in 1990. Together they had three daughters, Maranda, Alexis and Kirsten.

In 2012 Lon retired and went to work at the San Bernardino Airport as a security officer.

Lon was predeceased by his parents Walter and Roberta.

He is survived by his wife Susan, daughters Maranda Sherry (Nick), Alexis Jacobs and Kirsten Jacobs. Grandchildren Lucy, Jack, Benjamin and Henry Sherry.

Brother Neil (Joan), sister Karen Berry (Jim), Brothers in law Kent Ortega and Edward Ortega.

Nephews and nieces, Jon

Berry, Bradley Ortega, Daniel Berry, Sarah Jacobs, Samantha Berry, Aimee (Ortega) Fields, and Chadd Ortega.

And 21 great nephews and nieces.

Services will be help at Sunset Hills in Apple Valley, California on March 23rd at 10:00 am.
